Simple and Fun!!!

First of all, let me start out by saying that I had never played FarmVille "anything" before a couple of days ago. So I am still quite new to this. I'm not a FarmVille expert, by no means. That said, I'm having so much fun playing it, and it's taking up so much of my free and my "not-so"-free time... I figured I'd put all of my new found knowledge on the subject of FarmVille 2 to good use by writing a Review :)

Wow! Okay, first of all. I avoided playing this game for years. Up until now, November 2014. That's a long time. And I really wanted to play too! I knew it would suck me in. Because I've said it a thousand times, "I want to be a farmer!" So, of course, I would love the game. I knew I would. I don't have time for games. Unfortunately for me. So, I avoid them altogether. It's happened before with other games.

Anyway...

I got this sudden urge to escape into what I believed would be a quiet farm-life on an "e-farm",,, If you will....

So, I signed up. I followed the tutorial. I spent my money (15 Farm Bucks) on stupid things (Water). Now, a day later, I find, I'm slowly waiting for each drop of water to come in. Drip by drip.

I'm also wishing that I had money so that I could actually buy some of these Farm Bucks... :{ But! I do believe that, that is cheating! I mean, that would take the fun out of it for me, since what is so fun, is the long, torturous wait, each time i need just one drop of water to come in. It wouldn't be so fun, if i could just buy water. Well, to be honest, if I could just "buy anything with Farm Bucks" my farm would be finished by now and completely awesome (if i do say so myself!)

Also, if I had Farm Bucks, I guarantee I'd have bought every possible animal by now and raised them to adults. But because I'm not playing with Farm Bucks, I have to wait until a new animal becomes available to buy with coins, then i have to have the coins and buy the animal, then I have to wait sometimes up to a day before I can collect-up enough "baby bottles" to raise the baby animals into adults.

I Love FarmVille 2 !!!

* 2 Fins Up !!! *

It's a great game for kids! It isn't completely accurate (of course) but it is extremely fun, and also unbelievably educational! Not only does this game teach kids the basics of survival, but it reaches deeper to show them serious scientific things presented in a fun, 100% game-like manner.

That said, I am an adult, and I LOVE it! If you've not given it a try, I highly recommend that you do. You know',,, just in case you love it! :)

In any case, the game is FUN! I think it's a great game for people of all ages! I'm already aiming to get to at least "Level 50" I think they call it. Please, keep in mind that I've only played the game for a few hours. And already i'm out of money, having a hard time making coins, and waiting for water that takes a few minutes to give you one drip. Although, one drip goes a long way. It's just a cute game! I love it! It reminds me of Zoo Tycoon, in the sense that it's about working with and taking care of animals. "These are both two things that I love to do!"

Update : 

So here I am a day or two later. I have JUST reached Level 10, this is ONE LEVEL AWAY from LEVEL 11 which is where I want to be! Haha. My first goal was to get to level 11 since a few pieces of land can only be unlocked (as well as other goodies) once a person reaches Level 11. That being said, I'm a LONG 2400 xp (points) away from reaching Level 11. :| Still!!! I do plan on reaching Level 11 today, even if it takes me all day!

Update ! :

So, that person that gave me the Hammer and the Garden Gloves, was Indeed my Friend, that I must have "Friend Requested" when I first started playing. I guess I have to log off, delete all cookies and run a "cleaner" on my computer, then restart FarmVille 2 before I get certain Updates and Messages.

It may be a day later than I expected but I'm still not at Level 11. I have to get 1072 more " xp " before I can Level-Up... :|

(I'm really hoping that, today is the day I reach Level 11 !!! I can't wait to see all the neat stuff that finally happens! Not that the entire game isn't neat. Just, well, all this great stuff happens and becomes available once I reach Level 11 !!! :)

Another Update :

So, I started to doze off (LOL) so I laid down for a nap. I left the volume on and couldn't sleep because of all of the tweeting, dripping and mooing noises. I actually really like those noises! It's so soothing! It's like a short (but not too short), soft and steady rain song, playing on a roof. It's soothing! It makes me feel like I'm in my element, with birds chirping, it's almost as if I can feel a breeze or hear rushing water. The game and it's noises and sounds that it makes take me to a place (mentally) that I like to be. *Is it obvious that I like the game yet?*

So, as the chirping and tweeting birds lured me back up out of bed and back to the computer, I found out that I somehow acquired garden gloves and a hammer! This is awesome. Haha. Let me tell you why... I needed these Garden Gloves for days! Haha! I couldn't use some nearby land unless i acquired some of these gloves. Now here is what I'm thinking happened. Okay... There is this "feed" on the right side of the screen. You can pop it in and out. Sometimes it doesn't seem to be working, so i just minimize it, to get it out of my way. So, I have no idea what it's really called but I call it the "Free Stuff *Feed*"

The first day I played FarmVille 2, I clicked on a few of the names of people who where giving something away (or Sharing) something in the "feed". I sent them a "friend request" or at least I think I did. And then I left it at that. Well today when I logged on, I got a message saying that one friend had accepted (in so many words). Well, when I went to "Ask " my friend for the garden gloves and the hammer, I found out that I had not one, but two friends! So, now when I "Share" something, I feel a lot better thinking it's actually going to someone and even if they don't need it, they can give it to someone who does need it It's a really neat game and the more I play, the more involved I feel. And to say that I feel involved, says a lot! Since the game says that so many people are playing it, at any given time. It feels kind of good to be a part of that and actually feel like you are a part of that.

I should have mentioned that when I started the game, I did feel that my farm was pretty isolated. A lot of things weren't explained to me, and I had to find out by making a mistake, and learning my lesson.

For example : They didn't explain to me, or at least if they did, I missed it, that I could go to someone's farm, a friend (a character in the game. Not a real person.) about once a day and do "Favors" (I think they're called Favors) for the "Friends" and that I would earn rewards.

Here is what they didn't tell me :

* If I empty out their cash register, empty their water, harvest a crop, etc. This is not stealing, this is a Favor.    I don't get to keep what I harvest. But I do earn a bit of money, per favor.

* Favors are measured or shown as Lightning Bolts (You can see them when you visit your friends farm).
   My friends name is Marie, and now I have two more, I think they may add more characters as the game        goes on.

At first, I thought I stole a crop, but I eventually figured out that if you do 5 favors, per day(ish) that you get some rewards. Also, I didn't realize at first that these "Favors" are measured in "Lightning Bolts". Each time you do a favor a lightning bolt loses it's color, as if to say "you've completed that favor". I initially thought that I stole a crop and I made the person "one lightning-bolt's worth of mad-at-me". Haha.

So, I woke up and there was a person, a real one, I think, on my "friends bar". Over the person's face or avatar, I can see the words "I'm Playing" inside of a bubble and there's a plus sign ( + ). If I hover over the person it says "Add Friend" but when I click nothing happens, besides a bunch of wiggling icons. I can't find out WHO the person is, their username, if they are my friend, if they can see me, etc It's "kind-of" annoying. But I wonder, (and I'll probably never know) did this person give me the hammer and the garden gloves? If not then who did and why? Hehe. Seriously, I wish I could ask them for some Metal so I could have more Water for my Farm! :)

The following games are my favorite PC games in the World. Out of ALL the games I've tried! :)

They are a great learning tool for teaching children about Animals and Nature. They are also extremely effective at keeping your child happy and busy for hours. And don't be fooled! These are games that even you might love to play! I know that I sure love the entire Zoo Tycoon series! Have FUN!

RainFern's Guide to Playing FarmVille 2 Without Buying ANY Farm Bucks !!! 
(This means that there is NO real money spent! It's completely FREE! 

I wish I could show you my FarmVille 2 farm! It's so cute! In real life, I love designing landscapes and especially plotting out where certain plants are going to grow and live. I love taking care of animals. So I naturally love this game!

FarmVille 2 Tips
(for when you are paying with no money (to buy Farm Bucks)
and when you have no friends (just signed up.)

Remember that every time you Level Up, ALL of your Trees and Crops are Instantly Ready to Harvest !!!
Use this to your advantage. Watch your xp to see how long you have until you Level Up. Once you know how long you have for that level. You can plant fast growing crops such as Tomatoes, Corn, and Blueberries throughout the Level. Then right before you Level Up, plant a bunch of crops that take a while to be harvestable, such as my personal favorite, Strawberry Crops. :) Then when you Level Up, you didn't have to wait ALL that time to Harvest some Strawberries!

Also, always make sure that ALL of your Trees are Watered BEFORE you Level-Up. It's so nice to see your entire farm Ready to Harvest! :} And you'll be able to make a lot of Animal Feed and Sell a lot of Goods to Earn Coins after each "Super" Harvest (at the beginning of each Level. IF, you've planted and watered before you Leveled Up, as directed.)

* When using the "Feed" get as many Baby Bottles as possible !
* Save your 15 Free "Starter" Farm Bucks for if you can't buy a piece of Metal or something.
(Here it is Level 10 and I don't have 1 Farm Buck to buy 1 Metal so I can have more water and more animals! Ugh!)
* Water takes a long time to drip in Overall, the game is slow. You can't "beat the game" in a few days.
* When using the "Feed" get as many Oyster Mushrooms as possible! They are worth a lot of coins!!!
* When using the "Feed" get as many Lavender Pearls as possible! They are worth a lot of coins!!!
* When using the "Feed" get as many Gold Ores as possible! They are worth a lot of coins!

Great Reasons Why You Might NEED to SAVE your 15 "free, starter" Farm Bucks : 

* You might need 1 Farm Buck to Hire a Dig Boss to Complete your Water Well !
* You might need just one small item to finish building something and usually these are just 1 Farm Buck.

* Try to Avoid Spending the 15 Farm Bucks until it's an Emergency Farm-Situation :) *

***Don't spend Farm Bucks on anything that you can find in the Feed, Ask friends for or things that will come in on their own, such as Water, Crops, Harvests, Animal Feed, Coins, xp, Level Up, etc.***

(I still don't know what the (blue coin(?) with a "Thumbs Up" icon on it, that says Favors.) So, I don't know what these Favors do, that I've collected from using my Feed. I assume that I will eventually find out. These Favors don't seem to be related in any way to the Favors that you can do on your Friends Farms.)

Things that you'll need to collect throughout the game... :

* Most likely 2 Metal
* Most likely 2 Hammer
* Most likely 1 Chisel
* Most likely 1 Lock Pick
* Most likely 1 Rope
* Most likely 1 Fine Fleece

Here are some of the items that you'll (most likely) need to Craft (or make) :

* 6 Fig Pudding
* 20 (or so) Tomato Paste
* 5 (more or less) Lemonade
* 8 Corn Meal

Get the most out of your time and crops, when making Animal Feed  :

* Olives
   The best crops I've found for making actual Animal * Feed * are a lot of Olive Trees.
   ( 1 Olives = 5 Feeds )

* Strawberries
   Yes, also Strawberry Crops!
   ( 1 Strawberries = 10 Feeds ) !
   **This is by far my favorite way to get animal feed!**

* Sunflowers
   ( 1 Sunflowers = 11 Feeds ) !!
   Sunflowers also sell for almost 50 Coins, as well. So, they are a great crop in general!
   Sunflower crops are pretty! :}

Just like all good things, strawberries, sunflowers and even olive trees take a good-long-while to produce fruit that you can harvest to either sell or use to make Animal Feed.

Trees only have to be planted once, then you just have to water them after harvesting them. So, they are easier, although they take up space and give less Animal-Feed compared to the Strawberry Crops.

The Best Way to Get Water :

Don't Ask around for it. You'll need to Ask for more important things. Simply wait for your Water to fill up. Just leave the game running and go do something (laundry, homework, chores, etc.) When you come back to your computer, you'll have some water. The Water-Game is a Waiting-Game. :) It's not bad at all! You don't have to wait for water forever! It drips in one drop at a time, and it takes about 3 minutes per water drop.

The BEST Animals to make you the most Coins the fastest are :

* White Chickens (Start with a few chickens first, until you can afford plenty of goats, baby bottles and      animal feed.)
* Red Goats (These only require 2 Baby Bottles to become adults. They also get hungry pretty fast, so        you'll be feeding them and getting plenty of Goat's Milk and Cheese.)

*The above animals can be bought as babies with Coins, so you never have to spend actual money to buy Farm Bucks.

*I find that when an animal reaches  Prized Status for Animals that it usually takes forever (hours) to get any "salable goods" from them. So, I either sell the animal when it becomes prized, sometimes, if it's a chicken. Or I just add one of the older, Prized Goats to my Inventory.
